After three appearances on The Bachelor franchise — twice the runner-up on The Bachelorette and a failed relationship when he was The Bachelor on season 21 — Nick Viall says he has absolutely no interest in giving it a fourth try. While at the grand opening of Face Haus at USC Village in Los Angeles this past weekend, Viall joked that it would take “a gun” or “imprisonment” to get him back on the show again.
Viall proposed to Vanessa Grimaldi on his season of The Bachelor, but the two broke up less than a year later because she wanted someone who was more private and not on social media so much.
“I don’t like to put any limits. Personally, I think limits like that are kinda silly. Things like whether someone’s on social media or not, the reality is, whether you’re someone who’s a public figure or not, a lot of people have a pretty strong social media – it’s almost like the new norm,” Viall told Us Weekly.
He added that sometimes it can be refreshing when someone is less involved on social media, but he is looking for more specific things. A person’s Instagram following isn’t as important as the connection you have with them.
Viall also failed to find love on both Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe’s seasons of The Bachelorette, coming in second both times. When asked about who could possibly be the next Bachelor, Viall said that he would be surprised if it was his good friend and fan favorite Ben Higgins. He said the last time he checked, Higgins wouldn’t do it. Viall says he has no idea who the next Bachelor will be, but he hopes it is Blake Horstmann.
The Denver, Colorado, native was the runner-up on the most recent season of The Bachelorette, and he captured the hearts of Bachelor nation with his passionate personality and goofy spirit. Becca Kufrin ended up giving her final rose to Garrett Yrigoyen instead of Horstmann earlier this month, but instead of revealing the next Bachelor at the After the Rose ceremony, ABC decided to wait on the announcement.

It will most likely be someone from Kufrin’s season, with another possibility being Jason Tartick, a lead contestant who went home after the Fantasy Suite date. The banker from Buffalo, New York, has said that he would accept a starring role, and he is now in the best position to find who he is looking for.
There is also Colton Underwood, a former professional football star, who was quite controversial last season, but the ladies love the Chris Pratt doppelganger. He will be on the next Bachelor in Paradise, but it is possible that will be not the last time we see him.
If not Nick Viall, Bachelor Nation has plenty of other options to consider to be the next star of The Bachelor.
