Fan-favorite John Paul Jones lost some of his congenial status with viewers of Bachelor In Paradise due to his behavior on the last few episodes. The 24-year-old has issued a public apology.

During last week's installment of BIP, the stars of Bachelor Nation attended Chris Randone and Krystal Nielson’s wedding. Little did they know, the attention wouldn't 100% be about their union.

JPJ had been actively pursuing Tayshia Adams which was going smoothly until she told him to explore other options. Adams then moved on to Derek Peth.

John, who clearly felt strongly for Tayshia, took his frustrations out on Derek at the wedding. He confronted Derek for taking advantage of his fans and being on the show to promote his podcast. Derek denied both of the accusations.

Viewers agreed that not only was Jones overreacting, but he was also being disrespectful by choosing to pick a fight at Chris and Krystal's wedding.

He took to Instagram to say: 'After watching this past Tuesday’s of BIP and having had time to step away from it all and introspect on my actions, I do deeply regret that my behavior was disruptive and upsetting to the celebration of Chris and Krystal’s wedding reception. Despite the fatigue and anxiety I felt at the time, I should have used good judgment in my decisions and acted in a more mature and selfless way. I extend my sincere apologies to Chris and Krystal and to their families and friends for my actions.
With regret and sincere apologies, JPJ.'

Some of his co-star's praised him for taking responsibility while Derek took the opportunity to call him out.

Peth left a comment on his post that read: 'Don’t insult our intelligence…you could reach out on your own instead of on Instagram. This is just an attempt to save face.'

Do you feel that John Paul Jones' apology was sincere?
