Hot New Hip Hop reported today that Azealia Banks managed to stir up controversy, perhaps in the most dramatic fashion that she has ever done thus far in her career. The outlet claims the rapper dug up her dead cat's corpse, cooked it, and filmed the entire thing on her IG.

Banks wrote in the caption of one of her videos that have since been deleted, "Lucifer 2009-2020. My Dear Kitty," before going on to thank her cat and referring to it as a "legend" and an "icon." Banks reportedly buried her cat who died just three months ago.

The social media response to her video was not positive. For instance, one fan wrote, "did this crazy b*tch really dig up her cat and then boil it for everyone to see on Instagram. What is this? Is this some insane voodoo s**t? I think Azealia has really lost it this time."

Another person claimed this was a pitch-perfect example of what is to come in 2021. Fans of Azealia and people who pay attention to what's going on in the hip-hop world know that Azealia has been in the headlines before for the way she handles animals.

For instance, Azealia performed a Brujeria ritual approximately five years ago, and, in response to the controversy at the time, said that "real witches do real things." According to Hot New Hip Hop, Banks made her comment in a caption of a video in which she was cleaning up a lot of chicken blood.

As it was noted above, Banks has been in the headlines for other controversial reasons, including when it was reported that she got into a skirmish with Russell Crowe, the Gladiator actor. Banks claimed he struck her, however, sources at the party claimed Azealia had attacked Russell first and he was merely defending himself.

On other occasions, Banks was the subject of reports regarding her relationship with Elon Musk. The rapper accused Elon of being a "beta male pig" and said he had tried to rope her into threesomes with another woman.
