According to new reports, Asia Argento is denying the sexual assault allegations against her. The actress alleges that Anthony Bourdain, her late-boyfriend, paid Jimmy Bennett because they considered him as “dangerous.”
In a statement given to the reporter Yashar Ali, Asia said she “strongly denies and opposes” the content in a New York Times article that has since been circulated in national and international publications.
Argento wrote that she was “deeply shocked and hurt” by the allegations which, according to her, are “absolutely false.” The star said she has never had any sexual relationship with the young man.
In case you missed it, The Times published the report which claimed Argento had sex with Jimmy Bennett when he was just 17-years-old – which means he was below the age of consent in that state.
At the time, she was 37-years-old. Ironically, Argento is one of the largest voices in the #MeToo movement, especially in the case of Harvey Weinstein, who supposedly raped her.
Moreover, Argento said that Bourdain decided to pay the accuser the sum of money he asked for because they feared the situation would worsen. According to Asia, “Anthony insisted the matter be handled privately and this was also what Bennett wanted.”

As for why he asked for money, Asia claims Bennett was dealing with financial problems, and Anthony decided to pay him out of “compassion.” Additionally, Asia said Anthony paid him so he wouldn’t intrude in their life anymore.
What makes matters worse for Asia, is there is a photograph dated the 9th of May, 2013, which shows the pair lying in a bed together. As it was previously reported, Argento met the then-17-year-old at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Marina Del Rey, California.
After she gave him an alcoholic beverage to drink, she began kissing him, performed oral sex on him, and they then went on to have sexual intercourse.
