Asia Argento is taking her feud with Rose McGowan one step further. On Twitter, Argento gave the actress one full day to retract her statement regarding how Rose found out about the alleged affair between Asia and Jimmy Bennett, the actor who claims Argento assaulted him when he was a 17-year-old.
Argento took to her Twitter account to write that it was with “tremendous regret” that she announced her intention to sue Rose if she doesn’t retract her claims made in a statement near the ending of August.
The actress said she would be taking legal action against Rose if she didn’t immediately rectify the situation. Interestingly, Rose and Asia used to be friends and comrades in the #MeToo movement, as both of them played a role in taking down the disgraced producer, Harvey Weinstein.
However, because of the allegations made by Jimmy Bennett, Asia can no longer take the reins of the movement as she once did, due to her hypocritical actions – if the charges are true.
Previously, Argento said that her late boyfriend, Anthony Bourdain, who committed suicide earlier in the year, was the one to pay off Jimmy because he wanted him to stop intruding in their lives.
Many people eviscerated Asia for bringing Anthony’s legacy into question, moreover, it appeared that she blamed him for her supposed transgressions.
After Jimmy went public with his allegations, Rose claimed her partner, Rain Dove, was the one to tell her about Asia sleeping with Bennett when he was a minor.
Allegedly, Argento had been receiving nude photos from Jimmy since he was a 12-year-old. Rose, previously, said in her statement, “let justice stay its course.” Following Argento’s threat, McGowan hasn’t said anything publicly yet.
