Social media and different news outlets have been focusing on model Ashley Graham’s weight, speculations about whether or not has been losing pounds going around. That being said, the woman is apparently sick and tired of that and would rather have people see her for who she is instead of how she looks like.
One source tells HollywoodLife that even though she is a model, she’s been getting frustrated with all the headlines about her body and weight.
‘Ashley is sick of people always commenting on her weight, and her body. She gets it, she is a model, but it is the incessant, never-ending speculation over how much she weighs, if she has lost any weight, or if she has gained anything, that really, really bugs her. Ashley’s just like any other woman in that throughout times in her life, from month to month even, her body can fluctuate.’
‘She isn’t some stick-thin model who has to really watch every calorie she consumes and obsess over keeping her weight the same from hour to hour.’
Ashley cares about having a healthy lifestyle in her own way as well but that doesn’t mean she’s given up her favorite treats.
‘Ashley’s been open about her desire to stay healthy, so she works out, she eats well — but at the same time, if she wants a tub of ice cream, she’ll eat it. In the same vein, if she feels like working out hard for any reason, then she does, because occasionally she wants to burn off some excess energy by hitting the gym extra hard,’ the insider explained.
Above all, Ashley wants to continue being an inspiration to other women who struggle with their body image and so she wishes to ‘teach people to allow and reassure women that it is OK to be whatever weight you are, and to try and stop everyone from judging a woman on how many pounds she weighs, or whether she has lost or gained a few.’
‘It’s insulting, and it is misogynistic, and it does much harm to young girls as well as grown women alike — females are more than how much they tip the scale at, they’re way more than what dress size they are. Ashley wishes everybody would start accepting that, stop this bullsh*t, and start focusing on what truly matters in the world.’
