The drama on last season of Southern Charm between Thomas Ravenel, Ashley Jacobs, and Kathryn Dennis will not be a part of Season 6, thanks to Ravenel’s recent arrest. After the Charleston, South Carolina Police Department arrested Ravenel earlier this week for assault and battery in the 2nd degree, Bravo officially confirmed that Ravenel would not be returning to the show.
Since Ravenel won’t be back, it is becoming more and more unlikely that Jacobs will get her chance for the “redemption story” she had hoped for. Earlier this month, Jacobs told People Magazine that she wanted a second shot on Southern Charm, so viewers could get the chance to see another side of her.

The California native said that she wanted the same opportunity Dennis got to redeem herself on the show, and she promised that the second time around she wouldn’t fight or play dirty. Instead, she said she would smile and be nice, and not get wrapped up in Ravenel’s drama.
But it was Ravenel’s drama that made Jacobs the villain on the show last year, and without him, it wouldn’t make much sense for Jacobs to return.
Ravenel’s arrest for assault and battery charges comes from an incident that allegedly took place in January 2015. According to the arrest affidavit, Ravenel pulled down the victim’s pants and grabbed her private parts.
“While inside the location, the defendant undressed and made sexual advances on the victim. The defendant grabbed the victim’s hand and placed it on his penis before attempting to remove the victim’s clothing,” the Charleston Police Department Description of Offense stated.
The document went on to allege that while Ravenel attempted to remove the victim’s clothing, her underwire bra cut her skin and her shirt wrapped around her neck which made it difficult for her to breathe.
Ravenel continued the assault by pulling down the victim’s pants and saying, “Show me your p***y.” He then grabbed her vagina, and when the victim crouched to the ground to try to stop the assault, Ravenel put his penis in her face and asked, “Do you like big d***s?”

The victim — who is Ravenel and Dennis’ former nanny — also said that after she escaped the assault, she called her ex-husband and sister and told them what happened. She then fled the scene and alerted several other family members of the situation.
The former nanny also took photographs of the injuries to her neck and chest, and during their investigation, detectives corroborated the incident date and location via employment records and interviews with witnesses. They also retrieved the pictures that the victim took.
New episodes of Southern Charm, without Ravenel and most likely Ashley Jacobs, will return to Bravo in 2019.
