After speculations, it was confirmed that Kris Jenner did indeed play Regina George’s mother in Ariana Grande’s music video for Thank U, Next yesterday! Fans were happy to see the momager in the clip, being funny and just perfect for the role!
The matriarch rocks a pink tracksuit and holds a camera as she gets super into the iconic Christmas talent show performance scene in Mean Girls, parodied in Ariana Grande’s music video perfectly!
As you know by now, the record-breaking clip for Thank U, Next spoofs other scenes from the movie but also from other cult classic films as well.
Still, it seems like everyone was most interested to find out how it was working with the Keeping Up with the Kardashians momager.
Earlier today, as she was chatting with her followers, Ariana replied to a curious fan, explaining that her collab with Kris was ‘So fun. She was so full out and nice to everybody, and I want her and my mom to be besties. They were super cute interacting. Just two adorable, powerful, pink and black dots before my blurry, excited eyes.’
The artist also talked about the filming process, sharing that it took her team three days to shoot the video.
As for Kris’ already iconic line at the end – Thank U, Next, bi**h – Ariana revealed that it was she who came up with the idea.
‘Today’s dilemma: I want to make @krisjenner saying ‘Thank u, next, bitch’ my text tone but I don’t know how. sos,’ the singer tweeted.
After speculations that Kris would play Mrs. George, it was finally confirmed when she reposted the music video’s teaser and captioned it ‘I’m not a regular mom. I’m a cool mom. Thank u, next,’ which is a line from the movie.
