Ariana Grande Criticized For Trying To Silence Pete Davidson About Breakup: "You Will Probably Write A Whole Album About It!"
By now you've heard the news that one of the fastest-moving couples in recent history has called it quits. Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande will not be walking down the aisle.
However, the drama is nowhere near over.
After Pete was featured in a "Saturday Night Live" promo joking about their failed engagement, Ariana went off on Twitter with a shady statement that read: "for somebody who claims to hate relevancy u sure love clinging to it huh."
She then dropped the mic when she added: "thank u, next."
At first Arianators and those alike applauded the pop star for her simple and sassy comeback.
"Well, Pete did say he didn't like being famous soooo is she lying"
"Ariana is giving me god is a woman energy rn."
"Pete should really shut up. He looks so dumb rn."
After the shock of Ari's clapback wore off, some people came out to say that she was being unfair.
In the past, the "Sweetener" artist defended her ex-boyfriend's controversial punchlines by saying that the way he copes is through humor. People raised the question of why this was different.
Additionally, the ones who stuck up for the "SNL" actor also mentioned that cracking jokes and being relevant is his job so he has the right to turn his personal experiences into comedy as she does the same with music.
"To be honest, Ariana Grande is being a hypocrite. She knows how Pete is and she was in love with it all of five minutes ago. He can speak or joke about his truth all he wants."
"@arianagrande oh well he made a joke. You will probably write a whole album about it!"
Speaking of an album, the former Nickelodeon star is slated to release another one before the year ends. It will allegedly be titled: "Thank u, next."
