Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have had a whirlwind romance this summer, announcing their engagement after just a few weeks of dating. And now, a new fan theory is circulating that claims the couple’s wedding is only a few days away. Could the couple be getting married early next month?
According to Life & Style, fans believe the couple will tie the knot on August 4th, and there is a very symbolic meaning behind the date. Both Grande and Davidson have “8418” tattoos as a tribute to Davidson’s late father who died during the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Davidson’s father, Scott, was a firefighter and wore the badge number “8418,” and so fans believe the date of August 4, 2018, would be a perfect fit for the couple since their wedding date would be the same as his dad’s badge number.
“If Pete and Ariana don’t get married on August 4th, 2018, I will be shocked,” wrote one fan.
In addition to getting matching tattoos, Davidson put a 3-carat diamond engagement ring on Grande’s finger, and the two have made no attempt to hide their love on social media. Davidson confirmed their engagement when he appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last month, and since then they have shared constant PDA on Instagram.
Last week, Grande posted a black-and-white pic of her and Davidson snuggled up in bed together, and she added the caption, “My baaaaaaby loves me,” along with a cloud emoji.
In the comment section of the photo, Davidson wrote that he loved Grande “more than anything,” and she candidly replied by writing, “@petedavidson we’re annoying as f***.”

Exchanging remarks in the comments section of social media posts has become a habit for the couple. They addressed this recently when Grande wrote that Davidson was the “king of Instagram returns” after he commented about a pic of her at a video shoot, writing that she is an “icon.”
Grande is also including the song Pete on her upcoming album Sweetener. She defended the decision to add the song by saying that Davidson is her fiancé, and this is her album. She says that she is an emotional and honest artist, but if her openness as a human being doesn’t work for some fans, that is okay.
The two have received some backlash because of their relationship and quick engagement. When Pete Davidson shared a pic of Grande’s “8418” tattoo, he responded to the negative feedback by saying that Ariana Grande isn’t “just some girl,” and she is the greatest person he knows. He went on to say that his “dad would be so happy and love her so much.”
