Jenna Compono and Zach Nichols suffered a minor setback on the latest episode of The Challenge: War of the Worlds. The couple’s relationship has been rock solid the past few weeks, but things looked a little shaky after Amanda Garcia revealed that Nichols opened a Bumble account shortly following Final Reckoning.
Nichols claimed that he did not use the dating app to hook-up with anyone and only did it as a joke. Compono was not pleased with the excuse and flipped out on her boyfriend, leaving fans wondering if their relationship survived the fight.
Compono opened up about the drama in an interview with Us Weekly and admitted that things got a little out of hand. She also confessed that alcohol played a part in her reaction and that she could have handled things a little differently.
“I definitely think it was blown out of proportion,” she explained. “Looking back, I feel like I could have handled it a lot better — maybe sat him down instead of just screaming at him and acting like a complete psychopath.”
The Challenge star added that Nichols should have known better than to use a dating app while in a committed relationship. She then vowed to kill Nichols if he ever did it again. Given Compono’s initial reaction, it is probably in Nichols’ best interest to avoid dating apps in the future.
As far as their relationship is concerned, Compono assured fans that she and Nichols have since worked things out and are on good terms once again.
In fact, she is planning to move to Michigan later this month just to be closer to her boyfriend. She also hopes to start a family with Nichols and wants to have around six kids when it is all said and done.
Compono also teased a possible wedding but stopped short of announcing anything official. Unless things go drastically wrong over the next few weeks, it looks like Nichols and Compono have a bright future ahead of them.
New episodes of The Challenge: War of the Worlds air Wednesday nights on MTV.
