Counting On star John David Duggar and his fiancée Abbie Grace Burnett set a Duggar family record last month with the quickest courtship so far. There was less than a month between their courtship and engagement announcements, and now fans are wondering if the couple is trying to play matchmaker for their siblings.
After John David and Abbie Grace posted a pic on Instagram earlier this week with his brother Jeremiah and her twin sisters, fans are losing their minds over the romantic possibilities between the Duggar and Burnett kids, as well as the chances of John David and Abbie Grace having their own set of twins.
“Wait, so there are twins on Abbie’s side as well as the two sets on JD’s? They just became front-runners for the first couple to have twins of their own,” wrote a fan on Reddit.
Jill Duggar and Anna Duggar also commented on the pic, with Jill writing “Nice!” and Anna adding, “Y’all have fun!”
Some of John David and Abbie’s followers were also crushing on 19-year-old Jeremiah — who also has a twin brother, Jedidiah — and wanted to know if he was single and looking. There are currently three boys in the Duggar family who are single and of courting age, the 19-year-old twins and 18-year-old Jason. 28-year-old Jana Duggar, John David’s twin sister, is the only single Duggar woman who is old enough to court.
After their whirlwind engagement, there is a lot of excitement in John David and Abbie Grace’s future. As In Touch Weekly reports, they announced their courtship on June 26th, and by July 25th they were engaged.
The Duggar family made the engagement announcement, and they said in a statement that John David and Abbie Grace are a wonderful match, and they make a beautiful couple. They added that they love weddings and can’t wait for this one.
After knowing of each other for years, 28-year-old John David and 26-year-old Abbie Grace really got know each other when he flew to Oklahoma for a church event earlier this summer. Before they started courting, John David had talked about being a “Bachelor to the Rapture,” but once he connected with Abbie Grace, he changed his tune.
Because they are quite a bit older than the other Duggars who have courted, it appears that the rules were a bit more relaxed for John David and Abbie Grace, with the couple allegedly going out unchaperoned and displaying a bit of PDA during a trip to Walmart.
