April Love Geary, the mother of Robin Thicke’s child, is standing up for Ms. Ariana Grande, following the trolls online who won’t stop talking about her choice in dress during her performance at Aretha Franklin’s funeral. The model defended the singer after her powerful rendition of “God Is A Woman.”
The 23-year-old model took to Instagram on Saturday after the 25-year-old singer faced criticism because of her short dress as well as the bishop who was accused of “groping” her.
Geary posted a screenshot of a Twitter exchange where two women talked about the way in which Charles Ellis III touched Grande while talking to her after the performance.
Supposedly, the two women pointed out that her outfit played a role in the manner in which the bishop touched her. Geary wrote, “This is wrong. That bishop’s hand should not be on her breast.”
Someone sent her a message that insinuated Ariana should have dressed more “modestly” and “appropriately,” to which the 23-year-old said, “you’re the problem,” except in all-capital letters.
Later on, the bishop apologized for putting his arm around the singer, stating that it was never his intention to grope anyone, and he acknowledged that perhaps he was a little bit too forthcoming.
Meanwhile, Geary is gearing up to have her second baby with Robin Thicke, who also took criticism for “getting pregnant too soon,” after her first child, and also not being married before having kids.
Geary told her fans that they don’t have to get married before having kids if they don’t want to – in reference to the old school cultural convention, where men and women had to get married before having children, otherwise, they’d face social judgment and repercussions.
