It was reported that Melania Trump or even fellow Republican Mike Pence because of the usage of the word “lodestar” might have been behind the explosive op-ed that surfaced yesterday via the New York Times.
The anonymous piece from the senior administration official bashed president Donald Trump as incompetent, chaotic, and erratic.
The person, who wrote the letter, said they are staying on as a staff member of the White House to help the resistance and help the country.
First lady Melania Trump made it clear she did not write the op-ed about the New York billionaire and took a few shots at the person who did.
Melania said via a statement: “To the writer of the op-ed — you are not protecting this country; you are sabotaging it with your cowardly actions.”
She added: “Unidentified sources have become the majority of the voices people hear about in today’s news. People with no names are writing our nation’s history. If a person is bold enough to accuse people of negative actions, they have a responsibility to stand by their words and people publicly have a right to defend themselves.”
Speculation has run wild in the past days about Melania’s future as The Donald’s wife.
According to reports, Melania is planning to leave in 2020 because she believes that Robert Mueller’s investigation, the decline in the polls, and the possibility of losing the House in November will cause the former reality TV star to unravel.
A source told Hollywood Life: “Whenever Donald feels painted into a corner, he goes on the serious attack, and there’s one hell of a lot of pressure building right now. Melania is concerned about how Donald is going to hold up, and with good reason. Everybody should be concerned quite frankly, as there’s no telling what he could do.”
The person went on to say: “Melania is bracing herself for the next couple of months. With the midterms approaching, [Robert] Mueller’s report nearing completion, and the Democrats becoming ever more vocal with their calls for impeachment, she’s concerned Donald’s going to start to unravel seriously.”
The Donald has responded to the piece the usual way — with insults and empty threats.
