On the season 12 reunion of Real Housewives of Orange County last fall, Shannon Beador, Tamra Judge, and Vicki Gunvalson hugged it out and seemingly reconciled after years of feuding. At the time, fans weren’t sure what the future held for the friends-turned-enemies-turned-friends. But, according to the season 13 trailer, it looks like the trio is really attempting to be friends once again. And, it appears that the hug helped the ladies put all of last season’s drama behind them.
Executive producer Andy Cohen was at the reunion when it all went down, and he told The Daily Dish that it wasn’t an act, and fans can expect the upcoming RHOC season to be “phenomenal.”
“It’s almost like last season didn’t happen, to be honest with you,” Cohen said. “Vicki, Tamra, and Shannon start the season in a way better place, and it’s for real.”

Cohen also revealed that the two new cast members – Gina Kirschenheiter and Emily Simpson – are fantastic, and this year “anything is possible in the O.C.” He also said that fans will be surprised by some of the shifting alliances in the group.
Since last season Beador has gone through some major life changes, and season 13 looks to be anything but unlucky for her. In the recently-released trailer, we get to see Beador go on her first date since splitting from her cheating ex-husband, David, and her post-divorce revenge plan seems to be in full swing.
The man who Beador is out on a date with in the trailer is not her current boyfriend, Alex, but an insider says that the reality star wanted to make sure fans got a glimpse of her dating life because they helped her stay strong while going “through the hell that David put her through.”
Beador also wanted to make it clear that she has moved on since her divorce, and the best way to do that was for cameras to follow her on some of the dates she went on before she met Alex.
It doesn’t look like RHOC fans will get the chance to see the mysterious Alex just yet. The insider says that Beador is “still on the fence” about how much she wants to put her current relationship out there, but both she and Alex are starting to warm up to the idea.
However, Beador is fully aware of the housewives’ curse – after going through it herself and watching some of her castmates live it, too –, and she wants to make sure she doesn’t go through it again.
The wait for season 13 has seemed unbearably long, but it is almost over. The new season of Real Housewives of Orange County will premiere on Bravo on Monday, July 16th.
