This weekend, Amy Schumer hosted Saturday Night Live for a second time. The comedian delivered a hilarious monologue about her newlywed hubby, Chris Fischer.
‘As some of you may have heard, I got married this year,’ Amy said, getting the live studio audience to cheer loudly.
‘Sorry ladies, it’s been locked down,’ she added.
According to the, I Feel Pretty actress, ever since she tied the knot, people always want to know how has being married affected her stage material.
‘Some people are like, ‘What are you going to talk about from now in your stand-up? All you’ve ever talked about was getting railed.’ But it is true. I am a little sad I am never gonna get a ‘you up?’ text again. It isn’t like they were rolling in, but it was nice to know someone was thinking about me,’ Schumer joked.
She went on to talk about how Fischer proposed.
‘The way my husband proposed was so worthless. It was such a dumb proposal. It was morning, and I was still asleep. He threw the box at me and said, ‘I got you this,’’ Schumer said.
But in the end, she appreciated his ‘realistic proposal,’ that was so unlike what TV and Hollywood portray.
‘It’s always a guy getting down on one knee, and the girl is always shocked, you know? She is always like, ‘AAhhhh! I did not even knew you liked me!’ Really, you are gonna spend your life with this dude and you did not even know he liked you?’ she mocked.
