Amy Schumer Shares Husband Chris Fischer Has ‘Autism Spectrum Disorder’ In New Netflix Special
Amy Schumer has shared some very personal news about her husband, Chris Fischer. He has ‘Autism Spectrum Disorder' and according to the funny woman "he can't lie."
In her new Netflix special Amy Schumer: Growing , which drops later tonight, the pregnant comedian dishes on her husband's condition. Schumer divulged that Fischer is on the Autism spectrum.
Entertainment Weekly got a preview of the new stand-up routine, where the 37-year-old does not hold back on married life, Fischer's diagnosis and being pregnant.
"I knew from the beginning that my husband's brain was a little different than mine. My husband was diagnosed with what used to be called Asperger's. He has autism spectrum disorder. He's on the spectrum. And there were some signs early on," Schumer said in the special according to Entertainment Weekly .
The I Fell Pretty star goes on to share a story about when she first got an inkling something was different about Fischer. She shares they were walking together early on in their relationship when Schumer took a little tumble. As she lay there on the ground, she noticed her 39-year-old man was standing there frozen. There was no helping her up or asking if she was ok.
"He kind of froze and became a lighthouse, opening and closing his mouth," she recalls in the special.
All of those qualities that put her baby daddy on the spectrum are the very reasons she loves her man. Schumer makes that abundantly clear. She als0 wants people to know she is sharing the information because it is part of who Fischer is and she would not want it any other way.
The soon to be first-time mom explains one of those qualities she loves is his knack only to tell it like it is, there is no filter with her husband. Along the same lines of him being brutally honest, Fischer cannot lie. His wife calls him the perfect man because "he can't lie."
However, of all his qualities the one Amy Schumer loves the most about her husband Chris Fischer is that he is always making her feel like the most beautiful woman in the world. She used social media to give her man a shootout for all he does for her, especially during her not so easy pregnancy.
