Alyssa Milano Says Harvey Weinstein's Wife Georgina Chapman Is "Sad" But Is "Doing Well"
Alyssa Milano didn't ditch Georgina Chapman following the explosive sexual misconduct case involving her husband, Harvey Weinstein. When speaking with Megyn Kelly on the Today Show, she said: "Georgina is doing very well."
According to Milano, Chapman is a fantastic woman, mother, and person all around, and her primary concern at the moment is focusing on how to raise her children while dealing with this incredibly difficult situation.
On the 10th of October, Georgina announced that she would be leaving her husband, Weinstein, after the New York Times published the exposés regarding his misconduct over the last three decades.
In a statement to People Magazine, she said her "heart breaks" for all of the women affected by Harvey. Since then, she has spoken with divorce lawyers.
The 65-year-old, Weinstein, and Chapman, 41, got married back in 2007 and they have two children together who are seven and four. Additionally, Harvey has three children from another marriage.
The circumstances surrounding Chapman's husband is genuinely tragic, and the damage done to her kids' lives will be tremendous. However, Milano, 44, revealed that Chapman remains optimistic but is still sad.
Milano said it isn't "easy for her," and she has gone through bad times before, but the actress is confident she'll come back out on top.
As you may know, nearly 100 women have accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault, harassment, and rape since the New Yorker and the NYT published their reports detailing his alleged crimes.
Furthermore, the New York Times revealed a sophisticated web of associations and intimidation tactics employed by the embattled producer to discourage women from speaking out. Supposedly, Harvey hired former Israeli agents to spy on Rose McGowan and Asia Argento.
