Meghan Markle is soon going to be a part of the British Royal family when she marries her fiancé Prince Harry in May. That being said, a lot of fans were curious to know if she gets along well with the Queen! We now have the answer!
The women have attended two events together – the church service on Christmas Day and the Commonwealth Day service – but are yet to be photographed side by side.
Katie Nicholl, the well-known author, and Royal expert told us all about Meghan and Queen Elizabeth’s relationship.
Apparently, the Queen is very supportive of the American actress’ romance with Prince Harry, despite everything else.
‘One of the things I was keen to trying to get to the bottom of in the book was how the Queen felt about Meghan. Because when you look at Meghan on paper, she’s not necessarily what you might expect of a royal fiancée and that she is American, she is a well-known face,’ Nicholl explained.
The expert went on to say that ‘She has filmed some pretty racy sex-scenes that we have all seen in Suits. Everything from being a divorcee to being a little older than Prince Harry, to coming from a dual heritage family, you might wonder if the Queen, being of a certain generation and, of course, being the queen might have been at all concerned.’
But it looks like we have nothing to worry about because ‘everything I heard from sources I spoke to was that she felt from the outset that Meghan was a positive person in Prince Harry’s life.’
In addition to that, she even gave them the freedom to make their upcoming wedding their own despite the fact that it means ignoring tradition.
‘I am told by my sources at Windsor Castle that she is being very accommodating. She said to the couple, ‘This is your wedding, this is your big day. Plan it as you want it.’ It is very generous because, do not forget, the queen’s opening up her home.’
