Rumors have been going around that Will Smith’s former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air co-star Alfonso Ribeiro once went on one date with his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith! However, the man is finally shutting down those speculations!

It all started with Jada herself saying during an episode of her Facebook talk show Red Table Talk that she dated Alfonso.

‘I actually think I dated Alfonso,’ the woman said and her husband agreed, saying he remembered she did go on one date with him.

‘And he like took you on a motorcycle or something?’ Will Smith asked.

‘I think so. My memory is...I've dated a lot of people...but we went on one date,’ Jada replied.

She went on to post that part of the show on her Twitter account, and that is when Alfonso assured her that her memory may be ‘a little off.’

‘I believe @alfonso_ribeiro and I went on a date. Before I was on A Different World ?. This is a fun piece from the episode streaming now. I hope you check out @RedTableTalk,’ Jada wrote alongside the clip.

‘Sorry, Jada. Your memory's a little off. We went to lunch with your family when we guest starred on A Different World the year before you became a regular,’ Alfonso wrote in response to her claim.

‘My fault Alf... I thought it was a date,’ Jada said.

But that doesn’t mean Alfonso didn’t have a significant involvement in her life as Will revealed on the same episode that after seeing Jada on A Different World, he asked Alfonso to hook them up.

Weirdly enough, however, when he brought Will at a taping of the show, the actor ended up meeting Sheree Zampino, in the audience instead and the two got married.

They had a son, Trey, together and when they divorced three years later, Will finally met Jada, and the rest is history!
