Courtney Love is, once again, facing accusations of plotting to murder someone, except this time, it’s the ex-hubby of her only child, Frances Bean Cobain, who’s making the claim. Reportedly, Isaiah Silva, the ex-husband of Frances, is taking Courtney Love to court because he claims she orchestrated a plan to intimidate him over Kurt Cobain’s 1959 guitar.
According to a report obtained by People Magazine from Court House News, Courtney’s ex-son-in-law accused Love of trying to intimidate him into returning a guitar belonging to the late Kurt Cobain, who killed himself back in 1994.
The guitar in question is the one he used during his legendary MTV Unplugged performance in 1993, just one year before his tragic death on the 5th of April the following year.
Silva claims the ex-Hole frontwoman paid men to break into his home, for the sake of repossessing the old guitar. In his suit, he states the men “burglarized, robbed, assaulted, sexually battered, kidnapped, and attempted to murder him.”
The musician filed the complaint in a court of law on the 25th of May at the Los Angeles Superior Court. Some of the men he named in the suit include Ross Butler from 13 Reasons Why, and Love’s manager, Sam Lutfi.
Before working for Cobain, Sam was employed as the manager for Britney Spears until her parents claimed he was attempting to control her in 2007 and 2008 during her hospitalization.
As for the Cobain-Love fiasco, according to Silva, his ex-wife gave him the guitar as part of their divorce settlement. Butler, Lufti, and another man named Yan Yukhtman broke into the singer’s house and forced him into a black Cadillac Escalade.
The men tried to take him away, and grabbed Silva “by his genitals,” called him a “f*g,” and told him to “calm the f*ck down or” they would drag him upstairs and rape him.
Moreover, Silva claims Love and Cobain tried to get him to sign a divorce agreement whereby he would have to return the guitar. Isaiah says he has text messages and phone call receipts which corroborate his story.
