Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton aren’t giving up on having a baby, even though they just experienced a “devastating loss.” Sources claim that after a successful IVF treatment, the singer ended up losing the pregnancy.
The No Doubt lead singer reportedly found out she was pregnant earlier this summer and was excited to tell her boyfriend that baby number four was on the way. Stefani has three kids from her marriage to Gavin Rossdale: Kingston, 11, Zuma, 9 and Apollo, 3.
However, this would have been Shelton’s first child. He did not have any children during his marriage to ex-wife Miranda Lambert.
Unfortunately, the happy news of a baby on the way quickly turned sad when doctors told her that she was no longer pregnant. The source claims, though, that Stefani, 47, is looking at the situation from a positive viewpoint.
She wasn’t even sure if she could get pregnant again, but the successful IVF treatment proved that she could. So, the couple will keep trying and continue to be optimistic about the outcome.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, 41, began dating in October 2015 after meeting on the set of The Voice. Ever since the beginning of their relationship pregnancy rumors have surrounded the couple.
The two singers enjoy a family life together with Stefani’s three sons, often posting pictures on social media of the five of them together in California or at Shelton’s home in Oklahoma. After two years as a couple, it makes sense that the pair would be ready to commit long-term and add to their family.
In Shelton’s recent single I’ll Name the Dogs, he sang about getting married and wanting his bride to name the babies. Even though he doesn’t mention Stefani specifically, speculation is that he was singing about her.
Meanwhile, Stefani recently announced she is releasing a Christmas album titled You Make It Feel Like Christmas on October 6th, including a duet with Shelton that they co-wrote together.
This will be Gwen Stefani’s first album since This Is What the Truth Feels Like.
It will be released in March 2016.
