Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller is battling Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and recently started her third round of chemotherapy, but the treatment is causing horrible side effects. Radar Online is reporting that people are visiting her and attempting to keep her spirits up, but she is “not doing well.” Miller is wearing a wig because she has no hair, and she is so weak that she needs to use a wheelchair to get around.
Lifetime was waiting for Miller’s release from prison before starting production on a new season of Dance Moms, but they officially canceled the show after the 51-year-old’s cancer diagnosis. However, sources say Miller is determined to return to television.
“She is grasping at any idea of being back on TV, it’s sad,” claims an insider. “The production company is trying to cast for season 8, but the network is not open to it. There is so much toxicity around it with the legal and jail stuff.”
After another 2 hour MRI this morning, the pros thought I needed one more quick little emergency surgery! Ugh! I’m in recovery now and texting so everything must be ok,just hiccups in my plans! I’m on a tight schedule; shooting two projects and I need to get out of here and on with my life!!! Please keep me in your prayers?? In May of last year, a judge sentenced Miller to one year and one day in prison after she failed to report an international monetary transaction and concealing bankruptcy assets. Shortly after her release to a halfway house in March, doctors diagnosed her with cancer.
But, an insider says the chemotherapy hasn’t been as effective as they had hoped, and things are so bad they aren’t sure if Miller is going to recover. At this point, they are waiting for test results to come back to get more information.
Miller just announced on Instagram that she underwent a second emergency surgery, and wrote that she is in recovery and texting, so things are ok. But, the surgery just “hiccups” her plans. The setback has prompted the reality star to get her affairs in order. The insider says Miller is deciding “who gets what in her will,” and she would like to reward some of the friends she made in prison. But, it is a sad, scary time, and Miller feels alone.
Back in April, when she underwent her first emergency surgery, Miller’s doctor, Dr. Hooman M. Melamed, said that his patient’s health started rapidly deteriorating after experiencing “excruciating neck pain” and weakness in her arm. The orthopedic spine surgeon said it all happened in a 24-hour span, and that was something he hadn’t seen before – from the neck down, she was completely paralyzed.
But despite all the grim news, Abby Lee Miller still claims that she is shooting two projects and needs to get out of the hospital and on with her life. She also asked fans on Instagram to keep her in their prayers.
