Abby Lee Miller took to social media today to post a selfie she took while in the hospital. This comes three days after we have learned that the Dance Moms star was preliminarily diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma. Even before that, Abby underwent an emergency back surgery on Tuesday, and it is said to have saved her life.
In her post, Miller made sure to express her appreciation for the medical specialists who were able to diagnose her so quickly.
‘So much gratitude and love for those who listened, those who looked deeper and those who leapt into action. So much more I wish I could say…about how quickly your life can change at the hands of others. Thanks for ? #abbyleemiller #abbylee #aldc #aldcla #aldcalways #dancemoms #iwilldance,’ she wrote in the caption of her Insta pic.
Her surgeon, Dr. Hooman Melamed previously stated that the star’s medical results are still pending a pathology report.
‘People who have been diagnosed with this have a good prognosis. We will know more details soon,’ the doctor revealed.
Burkitt Lymphoma is a form of cancer affecting the lymphatic system and starting in antibody-producing B cells, which are part of the immune system.
Dance Moms’ JoJo Siwa told us that she has visited Miller in the hospital.
‘She’s not good, but she luckily is in good spirits. She is not 100 percent on what is going on right now, which isn’t the bad thing, she is definitely in good spirits, but it is so heartbreaking to see what is going on. It is so, so heartbreaking,’ the young dancer said.
