It’s been almost eight months since the Dance Moms star was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer but while at a red carpet event, Abby Lee Miller looked happy and definitely healthier. While still in a wheelchair, the star is proving that her fighting spirit and positivity, along with the medical care she receives, of course, are showing results!
Abby was in attendance at the National Film and Television Awards last night.
Even though she is still learning how to walk again, judging by her big smile, Miller hasn’t been broken by the nightmare she’s been trapped in for months.
Abby looked stunning wearing a black outfit with a bit of copper on her right shoulder.

For the past eight months, Abby has been fighting for her life and her ability to walk and dance again.
As fans remember, back in April, she needed emergency surgery for what it was initially thought to be a spinal infection.
However, that’s when they realized she had non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a type of cancer affecting one’s lymphatic system.
In July, she took to social media to update her fans on her progress, posting a pic of her in a harness and on a treadmill, building up the strength to walk once again.
‘Look at me, way up high. I never thought I would be cast in the role of Peter Pan, but I am harnessed up and just ready to fly!!’ Abby wrote in the caption.
Dance Moms co-star and Abby’s assistant Gianna Martello told HollywoodLife that ‘She’s gaining her strength back little by little each day. The process is slow, but it is definitely happening. Every time I see her, she is ready to work. She is so focused and ready for the future, we just have to get her up and dancing again.’
