Thanksgiving is a time when families get together and enjoy a nice meal, however, not everyone in the world has the means to enjoy the holiday. Hot New Hip Hop reported this week that A$AP Rocky was just one performer who came out to help those in need.

TMZ was the first to claim that A$AP Rocky paid for 120 thanksgiving meals to those who are less fortunate. According to the outlet, A$AP Rocky donated to the homeless shelter that once provided a place to live for him and his mother.

TMZ claims the Regent Family Residence houses around 83 families and over 100 children during tough times, and it's located on the Upper East Side of Harlem. Reportedly, A$AP Rocky came to the homeless shelter along with the batch of meals from Amy Ruth's restaurant.

The rapper acted as the delivery man on the big day. Sources who spoke with TMZ claimed A$AP Rocky has been especially grateful to the homeless shelter that helped him and his mother out during their most vulnerable times.

A$AP Rocky is no stranger to tough times. The rapper was in Sweden last year for a concert festival when he and some of his friends got into a confrontation with a young man. The incident was recorded and uploaded to Instagram, but it still didn't stop the Swedish police from arresting him.

Later, A$AP Rocky was charged with assault, but he was eventually freed and let out of jail so he could fly back to the United States of America. Since then, the rapper has remained out of the headlines except with the exception of this Thanksgiving's donation, of course, and a few others.

As it was previously reported, A$AP Rocky and his friends were attacked by a man following a concert one evening. The rapper testified in court that they were in a foreign country, they didn't know where they were and were scared of what might happen to them.

The incident was controversial, with even the president of the United States of America, Donald Trump, commenting on it.
