90 Day Fiancé star Jorge Nava took on quite the responsibility when he married his Russian girlfriend, Anfisa Arkhipchenko. She made it very clear from the beginning that she expected a $10,000 monthly allowance, expensive shoes, and a car. So apparently Nava had a plan to meet her expectations: sell a lot of weed.
Unfortunately, he chose to ignore the medical and recreational laws in Arizona, failed to get the proper licenses, and instead, opted for the criminal route. It didn’t work out well.
The police pulled Nava over for a traffic violation in Mojave County, and during the stop, they searched his car and made a huge discovery – 293 pounds of marijuana.
It isn’t clear if it was in plain sight or if he tried to hide it, but either way, it resulted in Nava’s arrest on multiple felony counts.

He ended up spending two days in jail before posting $25,000 bail, and with charges like possession of marijuana for sale and transportation of marijuana for sale, he is facing up to 12 and a half years in prison.
Medical cannabis is legal in Arizona, but it is not legal recreationally. The state has some of the strictest laws in the country for a medically legal state. If you have a medical marijuana ID card, you can possess up to two and a half ounces every two weeks and grow up to 12 plants.
However, without a card, it is not legal to possess marijuana in any amount. When it comes to owning a dispensary and selling the product, the laws get a lot trickier.
Obviously, Nava didn’t follow the rules.
When Nava and Arkhipchenko met on Instagram, he instantly fell in love but wasn’t honest about his financial situation. However, he was willing to say and do anything to win her over and bring her to America.
Arkhipchenko fell in love with the idea of marrying a wealthy guy and has never been shy about her desire to be taken care of financially. She also didn’t keep her disappointment a secret when she found out that Nava didn’t have as much money as she thought.
The controversial couple did end up getting married, but in the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? tell-all special, it appeared that they were splitting up. Nava said that Arkhipchenko got mean after he paid for her boob job and implied that she was a sex worker.
Thank you all so much for good wishes and positive comments under my last post ❤️ I would like to answer some of your questions: ?I am a full-time student in a community college and I’m planning to get an associate degree and then transfer to university to get bachelor’s. I chose to study business administration. ??I studied linguistics in Russia previously. ?I pay tuition fees, buy books and everything else by myself. I didn’t get any kind of loan or financial aid.
After the special, she signed with a modeling agency, most likely to finance her lifestyle after parting ways with Nava. But then she changed her name on Instagram to Anfisa Nava. When fans asked her if the two were still together, she said she wanted to keep her personal life private.
She apparently is trying to keep fans guessing about the relationship, but even though she isn’t talking about it, she continues to post pictures of the two together – including a few of them out shopping – on her Instagram story.
No one is sure how his arrest will affect their relationship, but she has said in the past that if Nava were ever in a situation where he couldn’t work, she would leave.
Fans are just going to have to wait to find out what happens. TLC has renewed 90 Day Fiancé for another season, so maybe the Navas are simply holding out so they can tell their story on camera.
