Jorge Nava is in serious trouble. The 90 Day Fiancé star, Jorge Nava, in a new interview published on the 8th of September, admitted that he’s going to prison for two and a half years due to attempted trafficking of 293 pounds of marijuana.
The reality star, during a conversation with reporters from TMZ, explained that he was “looking at around 24 years or something like that, some ridiculous number.”
However, thankfully, his lawyer was able to work out an agreement as long as he pleaded guilty to a class four felony in Arizona. Back in February, the 90 Day Fiancé alum was detained by authorities at a traffic stop in Arizona, where the police discovered he had a significant amount of drugs in his car.
Nava said he wasn’t thrilled with the idea of going to prison, regardless of for how short a time he’s going, because marijuana is increasingly becoming legal throughout the country.
In fact, the reality star remarked, marijuana is legal for medical purposes in Arizona. He added that the idea of going to prison for something that is actually legal was “kind of crazy.”
Later on, the TLC star spoke on his relationship with Anfisa Arkhipchenkno, whom he got married to after meeting on Facebook. According to the reality star, there’s “nothing wrong” in their relationship right now, other than him going to jail.
In a YouTube video, Jorge said that the police pulled him over when he was in possession of a “bunch of illegal stuff.” Nava said he believes there was a little bit of “racial profiling” going on when he was pulled over, because he was driving a rental car, and wasn’t doing anything wrong.
The star explained that he thinks the police are focused on the wrong things, and should instead, shift their efforts to helping people in the community who are in need, rather than punishing individuals for non-violent crimes.
