As you may know, 50 Cent’s relationship with his estranged son, Marquise Jackson, has been a topic of media discussion for quite some time now. Fans of the rapper will remember when he commented on a young kid’s social media as if he was the father, and a woman derisively asked, “How many kids do you have?”
According to a report from BET, Marquise and his father are becoming increasingly distant day-by-day. During an interview, the aspiring rapper said he rarely talks to 50, and when he does, the platform they use isn’t ideal.
During Marquise’s appearance on the Murder Master Music Show, the son of 50 Cent divulged on their lack of a relationship after the host bothered him about it for awhile.
Marquise revealed that he and his father only converse through Instagram; they never hang out, meet up, or even talk on the phone. All of their interactions are on the social media platform.
According to the 20-year-old, when he grew up, he and his father got along great but something happened along the way, and their relationship began to be unhealthy and conflict-ridden.
He said that they haven’t spoken. “The most contact we usually have is through Instagram. He didn’t make it to my graduation for what reason.” In a deflated tone, Marquise said the host might have to interview the rapper to find out the reason.
Marquise, like his father, is currently trying to make it as a rapper. In one of his tracks titled, “Different,” the 20-year-old aimed at his father, stating that 50 should stay silent when referring to each other in the streets.
