Zoe Ball, who is 45, announced that she splits up with her husband Norman Cook, aged 53, whom you may know as Fatboy Slim. The announcement came on Saturday after 18 years of marriage. However, the two said that they will remain friends and that they will work together on parenting their two children.
They expressed their sadness by saying that they “have reached the end of their rainbow”, despite the fact that they had many exciting adventures over the years. An anonymous source declared for The Sun that Zoe took her things and left, mainly because they kept arguing lately and that she had enough. According to the newspaper, their marriage has been encountering several issues ever since they had a huge fight in August, when they went to Ibiza.
It seems that the main problem there (and in general) is her drinking. Zoe should be dry, but lately she has kept drinking with her girlfriends when they met up.
The news about their break-up follow nine months later than when Zoe was spotted hugging Tay Tay Starhz, the singer from Franklin Lake aged 22, at a festive party that wrapped Strictly Come Dancing on BB2, in September 2015. It seems that Zoe met him at the Freedom nightclub in Soho early in the morning. She even tweeted the next day that they are gathering the drunken antics of the crew down in Soho.
A spokesman for Zoe said that it was just “a silly moment” and that it means nothing. This, coupled with some other teasing she made to her husband, might be among the causes that lead to this separation. The two have two children together, a daughter named Nelly (age 6) and a son named Woody (age 16).
Their relationship began back in 1997, when they met in Ibiza. They got married in 1999, but then they briefly split in 2003, a break that could have foreseen the current break-up.
