An old video interview about actor Scott Baio is getting renewed attention as some feel it sheds light on his frame of mind when he was filming the hit series Charles in Charge. Scott Baio is currently under investigation for child sexual abuse and other assaults as his former castmates Nicole Eggert and Alexander Polinsky have alleged they were abused by Baio for years while he directed and starred in the series. During a press conference given with their attorney Lisa Bloom, they described Baio as a tyrant on set who not only sexually molested Nicole Eggert beginning when she was 14-years-old, but also tortured and humiliated Alexander Polinsky between the ages of 12 and 15 because he had witnessed the sexual abuse. Baio denies the allegations, but has admitted to having sex with Nicole Eggert in order to take away her virginity and make her good for her boyfriend, according to a Facebook live press conference he held.
In the video player below, many stars who worked with Scott Baio described his behavior and interaction with women. Henry Winkler who played “The Fonz” on Happy Days said that Scott Baio was routinely surrounded by beautiful women.
Speaking of Scott Baio and women, Willie Aames made the following statement.
“I once told people there was one hard fast rule in Hollywood and that was if you were blonde, first, you date Scott Baio, and then you marry Tommy Lee.”
Some of the blonde haired blue eyed women Baio was linked to in the video interview include Pamela Anderson, Nicolette Sheridan, and Heather Locklear.
Former US Weekly editor Albert Lee described Scott Baio as having a type but then stated Baio had a relationship with Liza Minelli and thought he just liked women.
But it was the interview with Willie Aames when he described working with Baio on the set of Charles in Charge and inviting him to the Playboy mansion that is drawing attention across social media networks.
It was during this time period that Nicole Eggert and Alexander Polinsky allege Scott Baio abused them.
Jason Hervey, who played Wayne Arnold during the 80s hit series The Wonder Years spoke about Scott Baio’s night at the Playboy mansion.
You may hear Willie Aames and Jason Hervey describe Scott Baio’s behavior at the Playboy mansion while he was directing Charles in Charge in the video player below.
Scott Baio also appeared in the interview and described himself as being able to get women based on his celebrity status. He said getting women became a game and he was good at it.
Baio also said that he came to a realization later that he was hurting women emotionally by his behavior and he stopped enjoying that and decided to change his behavior.
What do you think about the interview? Do you think it is relevant to the allegations Nicole Eggert and Alexander Polinsky have made against him?
(Charisse Van Horn and Alexander Polinsky personally follow each other on Twitter and have spoken to each other in the past, but not about the Scott Baio case. She has also tweeted in the past messages of support for Nicole Eggert to come forward and tell her story. She does her best to be fair and balanced and present all sides of the case. Scott Baio denies all allegations of child abuse against him.)
