The time has finally come for season six of Vanderpump Rules, and fans are wondering if sworn enemies Jax Taylor and James Kennedy are starting to get along and actually becoming friends. Is it possible that in less than a year these two could go from loud fights to taking selfies together?
As Romper reports, the two didn’t get along from the moment Kennedy first appeared on the show back in 2014. He started as a busser who had just begun dating Kirsten Doute. It was a blatant attempt to get on the show, while it was blatantly obvious she was trying to get back at ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval.
The obnoxious Kennedy immediately started rubbing everyone the wrong way, and as he rose through the Sur ranks from busser to DJ (while breaking up with Doute), he started drinking more and getting even louder.
Taylor couldn’t handle it, which often resulted in loud fights between the two that sometimes resulted in fisticuffs. It wasn’t always clear why the two were fighting, but it was extremely clear that the two hated each other.
But, in the preview clips for season six, none of the name-calling or shouting is between Taylor and Kennedy. Instead, the former enemies are now taking selfies together and talking about Taylor’s relationship problems. In the trailer, Kennedy says that it is crazy how much things can change in a year, and according to Us Weekly, the two are friends.
And, as the Daily Dish points out, Kennedy posted a picture of the two of them together on Instagram this past summer, while they hung out at Big Bear Lake Village.
Another pair that may be putting their issues behind them is Katie Maloney-Schwartz and Lala Kent. When Kent joined the show as a hostess in season four, most of the other women on the show immediately teamed up against her, including Maloney-Schwartz, because they thought she was sleeping with older men for money and privileges.
While Maloney-Schwartz planned her wedding, she and Kent consistently exchanged harsh words, with everything from slut-shaming to fat-shaming comments.
But, the two have seemingly squashed their feud, with both women taking responsibility for their hurtful words and apologizing. This all apparently happened after the season five reunion episode, and now the two are even going on vacation together.
Even though there are new friendships forming among the staff of Sur, there will still be enough drama, fighting, drinking, and cheating to go around during this new season. Fans will just have to watch to find out who the new friends and new enemies are this time around.
Season 6 of Vanderpump Rules airs Monday nights on Bravo.
