Will John David Duggar Be On Season 8 Of ‘Counting On’?

With the majority of the 18 and older Duggar kids married or engaged and in the Counting On spotlight, fans are wondering what is going on with 28-year-old John David Duggar . He gets less screen time than his married siblings, so it makes sense that fans want to know more about him. Will he be a part of Counting On season 8?
John David has not yet confirmed if he will appear on the upcoming season of his family’s reality show. In past seasons, he has shown up in small doses but has never been part of a major storyline. And, since the last two seasons have focused on births, engagements, and weddings, it has resulted in John David not being anywhere near the center of attention.

But, he does have a lot of things going on that could make for interesting television. The Duggar family blog says that he is a constable in Washington County, Arkansas, where his family lives. He also works in construction on his dad’s properties, and he is a pilot that often flies the family planes to different destinations.
Even though he is a busy guy, he has admitted in the past that he would like to get married and have a family someday.
“Future plans would be to, I think, one day, you know, the Lord will bring the right one along, and I’ll start a family and hopefully be able to invest in their lives and raise up a generation that will be great people for this society,” John David said on TLC’s YouTube channel back in 2016.
He also said that he prays about finding a wife, but at the time he wasn’t courting anyone.
Recently, rumors have surfaced that John David is courting and fans will get to meet the new lady in his life in the next season of Counting On.

In the Duggar family, they do not casually date. Instead, they court, which is dating with a purpose, and, that purpose is marriage. The Duggar courting rules include no physical contact except for side hugs, and no unsupervised dates or phone communication.
Family patriarch Jim Bob Duggar says that courting is different from dating because it gives the couple a chance to learn if they are compatible for marriage. He also said that courting is waiting for the one God has for you, and you pray through the entire process.
Already, five of John David Duggar’s younger siblings have married and started families, so fans are hoping that he could be the next member of the family to find love.
New episodes of Counting On return to TLC later this summer.
