Will & Grace is gearing up for its big comeback and it looks like things are returning to normal for the NBC sitcom. From guest star appearances to the first promo trailer for the new season, here’s everything we know about the Will & Grace reboot.
According to Vanity Fair, Will & Grace will lead NBC’s Thursday lineup starting on September 28. In the opening preview trailer, we find out that Jack is in his usual spot across the hall, Karen hasn’t lost her wealth, and Will and Grace are pretty much the same as usual.
Between Karen listening to Fox News on her headphones, Will and Grace hanging out with each other, and Jack wishing that Angelina Jolie wouldn’t have announced her divorce at the same time of his split, not much has changed in the world of Will & Grace.
Although the series ended on a sour note for the best friends, the show will resume as if the finale never happened. This is one reason why Will and Grace are still on good terms and not experiencing a falling out.
As far as guest stars are concerned, it looks like in for quite a few cameos right off the bat. Jane Lynch and Andrew Rannells are expected to appear in some capacity this season, though details on their characters have not been released.
They are, however, set to have a cameo on the same episode, which is definitely exciting. In addition to Lynch and Rannells, Ben Platt, Minnie Driver, Bobby Cannavale and Harry Connick Jr. are set to appears as guest stars.
While fans are thrilled at the return of Will & Grace, NBC has already renewed it for a second season. All of the main characters are set to return, but a few minor ones will not be back.
This includes Karen’s maid, Rosario, who was played by Shelley Morrison. The actress decided to retire prior to the reboot announcement and is not expected to return this season.
The new season of Will & Grace is scheduled to premiere Sept. 28 on NBC.
