Fans of Will and Grace rejoice! It has been confirmed that the sitcom’s revival will be renewed for a third season that is set to premiere next year. The one who shared the great news was NBC chairman Robert Greenblatt, and it happened at the show’s PaleyFest panel today.
In addition to that, the man also announced that the second season, which is set to premiere in the fall of this year, will be having 18 episodes as opposed to the first season’s 13.
‘As far as I am concerned, we cannot get enough of Will and Grace and 23 more episodes is music to my ears. We are eternally grateful that Debra [Messing], Eric [McCormack], Sean [Hayes] and Megan [Mullaly] feel the exact same way and they wanted to keep this good thing going.’
As you may know already, the sitcom initially went off the air back in 2006 only to be revived 11 years later, in September of 2017.
It is safe to say that it was a great decision to bring it back considering that the first season of the revival became the network’s strongest primetime comedy in the last eight years!
It only makes sense that they would want to continue!
The show, which is produced by Universal Television, airs every Thursday on NBC at 9/8c.
In addition to the beloved permanent cast members, a number of A-list names appeared as gusts-stars as well, including none other than Jennifer Lopez.
