The Duggars welcomed a new family member to the fold over the weekend. John David Duggar and Abbie Grace Burnett tied the knot in Arkansas on Saturday. The Counting On stars posted a wedding photo on social media shortly after the event and look thrilled to be starting a new life together. With the wedding official over, fans are now wondering if TLC will feature the ceremony on the new season of Counting On.
“We are so excited to be married! It was a beautiful moment and we so appreciate our friends and family for sharing this day with us,” the couple shared after the wedding.
John David and Abbie started their courtship in June. The two knew each other years before they began courting but had never spent a lot of time together.
That all changed when John David flew out to Abbie’s home state of Oklahoma for a church event. The two hit it off at the event and it only took a few months before the duo got engaged.
TLC has not confirmed that they will air the wedding on Counting On next season. According to Romper, the couple’s romance was featured heavily last season, so there is a good chance that fans will get a behind-the-scenes look at the wedding in the new season.
After all, producers likely would not have focused so much on the relationship if they had not planned on including the wedding in the story.
Further, this would not be the first Duggar wedding featured on the show, and it probably will not be the last.
Just about every Duggar wedding has been featured on TLC. A few times, TLC has even aired footage of the wedding on their website prior to that season’s premiere. If John David Duggar and Abbie Grace Burnett’s wedding is not a part of the new season, there is a good chance the network will throw up some photos and video of the festivities before too long.
Either way, Counting On fans can rest assured that more Duggar wedding coverage is on the way.
