Wife Of Robin Williams Says That She Allowed Him To Date Other Women

Valerie Velardi, Robin William’s first spouse, revealed that she allowed Robin to sleep with other women when they were together. Velardi, who was married to the legendary comedian from 1978 until 1988, opened up about her lost love during the new HBO documentary, Come Inside My Mind.
According to Valerie, Robin “loved women,” and she understood that. She said that she understood Robin’s identity, and was willing to accept him for who he was, despite her desires.
She said, “but I also wanted him to come home,” in reference to the fact that she understood he was seeing other girls, but she wanted him around anyway.
According to Valerie, as per The Daily Mail, she and Robin met in 1976 at a San Francisco bar when his career was just beginning. After a night of joking around, she asked him for a ride home.
She said that Robin was speaking French, she teased him, and before the night was up, she knew she would see him again. As they started dating and getting more and more serious, Valerie was finishing up her education, and Williams’ was continuing to get bigger and better gigs.
According to the ex-wife of Williams, Robin was always looking for some angle, a character, or a person to portray. “He was shameless,” Valerie remarked.
During their marriage, they had one child together named Zack Pym, but they broke up in 1988. As his career grew and grew, her relationship with him began to fade, and she became less involved in his life.
Eventually, they both decided to “give each other up.” As the world knows, unfortunately, Robin passed away four years ago in 2014, after he killed himself following his struggle with dementia. During his time as an actor, he was nominated for four Academy Awards and won one for his performance in Good Will Hunting.
