Meghan Markle always looks impeccable, especially now that she is almost a part of the Royal family. That being said, every time she gets spotted by the paparazzi or when she attends official events, her monarch-appropriate fashion seems better and better.
The American actress rocks the fashion game, from her signature messy buns to wool coats!
Every time she shows up at the side of her fiancé Prince Harry, Meghan wows everyone with her excellent taste and elegance – fit for a princess.
It is safe to say she has been adapting to her life at the palace and we can only imagine how much her style is going to evolve after their May 19 wedding.
However, her wardrobe is definitely not cheap!
For instance, Meghan’s engagement photo shoot Ralph and Russo dress is no less than $75,000, while her Manolo Blahnik BB navy pumps cost $625 (she has another pair in black as well.)
So who is paying for Meghan to look so fashionable while classy in designer clothes?
One insider explained that ‘Many actors and actresses rely on designers to dress them. That will change completely. Royals are actually prohibited from accepting any designs or samples for free. All of Kate’s wardrobe’s paid for personally by her and Prince William, or by the Prince of Wales’ income.’
Therefore ‘Meghan, who as an actress would’ve had her choice of designer duds from stylists and fashion houses, will be expected to pay for any items she chooses.’
Royal expert Katie Nicholl recently shared: ‘Who pays for all of these clothes? Well, at the moment, it is Meghan because she’s not a fully-fledged member of the firm. When she is, then it’ll be Prince Charles largely paying the cost of her working wardrobe. When she is on official engagements, it will be Charles picking up the bill for those, not the British taxpayer.’
Fortunately, Meghan has ‘already got a very good wardrobe. That wardrobe was moved over to the U.K. quite early on in the relationship. Meghan knew this was going places, Harry knew it was going places, so that meant shipping over the wardrobe from Toronto [where Suits was filmed].’
