Kanye West is known for not only his music but also for style and paving the way for new trends in the fashion world. Surprisingly, in the latest issue of Esquire, Shia LaBeouf claimed it is he who provides some of that creative inspiration.
Shia has his own way of dressing, a style characterized by terms like “athleisure, normcore, and military,” and Kanye West has even shouted out to him in songs including the track, “No More Parties In LA.”
The rapper wrote, “I wish I dressed as fresh as Shia LaBeouf.” Because of the nod, Shia and Kanye met up and acted on an opportunity to collaborate.
Shia even went to one of his concerts and brought his mother along, an interaction which went great according to the Holes alum. In the past, Shia has praised his mother as his “everything.”
Shia said he grew up watching his mother sell accessories like barrettes, purses, and pins. Following his appearance at West’s concert, the actor decided to donate all of his clothing to Kanye.
He said, “the dude has a lot of my sh*t.” To make their friendship even more profound, Shia adds that his mother is a big fan of Kanye.
LeBeouf said when he brought her backstage, Kanye was nothing but a “f*cking sweetheart” to her. It was only fair to return the favor. He said to him, “Go for it my guy, take everything you want,” so Kanye did.
Furthermore, the actor touched on Kanye’s onstage meltdown back in 2016 where the rapper spoke on his relationship, or lack thereof, with Kid Cudi. Shia doesn’t know what his comments were all about, but despite the fact they don’t talk much anymore, LaBeouf said he “loves” Kanye West. Kanye is “going through a lot,” and he doesn’t know what the rapper has been up to.
