Carrie Underwood revealed in a recent blog post to her fans that she is “not quite looking the same” after a fall that required over 50 stitches to her face. Now fans want to know exactly what the country superstar looks like after her accident.
According to Radar Online, Underwood fell down some steps outside of her Nashville home back in November, but it turns her injuries were much worse than she originally admitted.
“There is also another part of the story that I haven’t been ready to talk about since I have still been living it and there has been much uncertainty as to how things will end up,” she wrote in her post. “It’s crazy how a freak random accident can change your life.”
She added that in addition to breaking her wrist she also managed to injure her face. She didn’t want to share the details, but her injuries did require surgery and the doctors told her husband, Mike Fisher, about the number of stitches needed. The accident caused her to miss a benefit concert and it required some physical therapy.
The Before He Cheats singer explained that she is still in the process of healing and she is “not quite looking the same.” She did say, though, that she is grateful her injuries were not worse. Underwood also told fans that she is revealing her facial injuries because when she is ready to get back in front of the camera, she wanted them to know why she might look a bit different. She is hoping that the differences are minimal.
CNN is reporting that Underwood has remained active on social media since the fall, and just recently posted a pic on Instagram with a scarf almost completely covering her face.
However, her friend, Below Deck alum Adrienne Gang, recently posted a post-workout pic with Underwood and fans got a first look at the Grammy winner’s face post-accident. Gang told Underwood’s fans that the singer looked amazing and she had no idea that her friend was injured.
Gang also said that Underwood looked completely fine, but she was wearing a wrist brace. She added that she didn’t know about the accident until after she met her, so she didn’t pay much attention, but there were no cuts, scars, or bandages on her face.
Instead, Underwood looked “lovely,” and nothing was out of place except for a bit of post-workout sweat.
People Magazine reports that Carrie Underwood will be back in the studio this year to record a new album, which will be her first since 2015’s Storyteller, which featured the singles Smoke Break, Church Bells, Heartbeat, and Dirty Laundry.
