Wendy Williams called out Megyn Kelly’s clap-back at Jane Fonda on her show and accused her of doing it for ratings. According to the host, Kelly’s rebuttal was nothing more than a ‘Jerry Springer sign-off moment.’
It sounds like Wendy Williams has something to say to her fellow TV personality and we all know nobody can keep Wendy from speaking her mind!
In fact, Wendy’s Hot Topics segment turned into a lesson on how to properly host a show.
‘Why are you fighting with her, Megyn Kelly? Is your show still on? She is fishing for ratings,’ Wendy started.
She then mentioned that ironically enough, Megyn’s show is still struggling, audience-wise.
As you may know already, Megyn Kelly addressed the drama with Jane Fonda, saying that she doesn’t understand why it was an issue she asked her about plastic surgery when the actress is usually super open about it on other shows.
Wendy has the answer! According to her, Megyn did not know Fonda enough beforehand to go there, especially because it was her very first interview with the star.
‘You are brand new to the set; No one knows you in that genre,’ Williams explained.
‘Here is my thought, Jane looks great, she is 80-years-old. Stevie Wonder could see that isn’t a natural 80, but my thought with that is, Megyn’s brand new to this one-hour talk format thing and she is trying to warm up and do some of the stuff I do… She is trying to be entertaining and light-hearted, and they gave her a boatload of money for it… It’s not working out.’
‘As a conversationalist with a show, I can tell you, one of the things you do not do when you first meet someone is zoom in with questions like that,’ Wendy shared the knowledge.
