Fans have been quite worried about the rapper’s absence from social media, and it looks like now, even Wendy Williams is concerned. The talk show host started an actual campaign to find Nicki Minaj!
The star has been completely silent on all of her social media platforms ever since December, and her fandom, as well as Wendy, are pulling all of the stops to find out what she’s been up to.
Nicki hasn’t even acknowledged the new year in any way, her accounts abandoned since the end of 2017.
After many fans started to show concern over the disappearance, Williams took advantage of the situation and started a fake missing person campaign.
The host even had a mock flyer with Nicki’s picture and funny description points such as the fact that her hair could be either black, blonde, pink or blue.
‘She is 35-years-old … brown eyes, black hair today, could be blonde tomorrow, or pink or blue.’
The rapper has always been super active online, so we are not surprised her fans noticed her prolonged unannounced absence.
The Barbz have even created a website called Finding Nicki, which was modeled after Finding Nemo.
The site includes a countdown of the days she has been ‘lost’ which as of today, counts no less than 44.
‘If you are Nicki click here,’ a red alert link at the top of the page reads.
Nicki is yet to address her absence, but we assume she’s just been super busy working on new music.
Back in September, the star promised that her next work would ‘be a billion times more epic than anything ‘Anaconda’ could’ve delivered.’
‘I think this era will be the most memorable and most impactful of my career yet. Tomorrow, I might walk into the studio and decide I do not like anything I have done in the last six months. Or, tomorrow I might walk in and feel like the whole album’s done. There is so much beauty in not knowing,’ she explained.
