Wendy Williams knows that the people you keep around say a lot about you but can also have a huge impact on your career. The talk show host decided to, therefore, warn Cardi B that her ‘crew’ might bring her down after all the effort she put into getting where she is now.
As you may know by now, a huge brawl broke out yesterday at the Met Gala because of a Cardi crazed fan.
Now, Wendy is saying that the Bodak Yellow rapper really needs to polish her image a bit, just like Nicki Minaj did!
‘The thing is Cardi, I know you rep your set, but your set is going to ruin your ability to move forward. You cannot have this schoolboy crew around you. There is no one who needs to be jumping up and beating [people].’
Reportedly, the emcee’s security viciously attacked a fan who insisted on asking her for an autograph after the pregnant rapper had already said no.
In videos leaked online, someone can be seen on the ground surrounded by many people while other footage shows the alleged victim being hauled into an ambulance while police were also in attendance at the site.
‘Nicki Minaj might have come from a particular set, but Nicki was woman enough and smart enough to polish herself and get on American Idol, to get those perfumes out… She has become some sort of mainstream, princess-type thing; Not a thug-stress threat,’ Wendy went on to compare the two feuding rappers.
The host did make it as clear as possible that she does not think Cardi is a ‘thug-stress threat.’
‘But, your set’s going to get in the way of you moving forward,’ she warned.
