As fans of the woman’s talk show know all too well, Wendy Williams has always been quite harsh when it comes to her criticism of Kanye West! However, it looks like this time around, she is on his side after singer Lorde accused the rapper of copying her stage set.
Wendy went as far as to bring solid proof that Lorde was not even the first to use that sort of see-through suspended box during a performance.
‘How many ways are you going to spin a stage performance before you’re all of a sudden biting off someone else’s style,’ Wendy stated earlier today on her show.
She proceeded to ask Lorde’s age, and when she found out she was only 22, Wendy burst out laughing.
‘Lorde, you’re spending too much time being angry. Lorde, we snooped. You are not the first person that used a glass box.’
The host showed her audience that other stars such as Justin Bieber and Rihanna had similar concert sets back in 2016!
‘Lorde, you need to relax,’ she advised the singer before noting that Lorde is actually very close with Ye’s nemesis.
‘By the way, she’s also part of Taylor Swift‘s girl squad, and Taylor hates Kanye. You see where I am going with this? I am almost mad that she is friends with Taylor.’
In case you haven’t heard, Kanye and Kid Cudi performed together under the name Kids See Ghosts (which is also the title of their joint album) not too long ago and Lorde took to social media to compare her stage design from Coachella last year to theirs, pointing out how similar it was.
‘I’m proud of the work that I do, and it is flattering when other artists feel inspired by it, to the extent that they try it themselves. But do not steal — not from women or from anyone else — not in 2018 or ever,’ Lorde wrote alongside the pics comparing the two stage sets.
