Wendy Williams is back after three weeks off due to health problems. Now she has returned, and she’s feeling better than ever.
Wendy was all excited and filled with joy when she got back to her studio today, March 19.
She received massive applause and a standing ovation after the three weeks off.
She was diagnosed with Graves’ Disease and problems with hyperthyroidism.
At the end of her signature Hot Topics segment, she broke down in tears, while she was thanking her crew and fans.
She also thanked the love of her life, her husband, Kevin Hunter. She revealed that he called Dr.Oz personally to talk about her health.
While she had to spend these weeks at home to recover, her friend, Jerry O’Connell filed in as her co-host.
Good Morning America aired an interview with Wendy during which she managed to give her fans a deeper understanding of the illness that caused the hiatus.
The host told GMA‘s Amy Robach, ‘I cried, and then I laughed. Are you out of your mind? It’s sweeps!’ Her doctor then responded, ‘Do you want to be swept?’
Now, it seems that Wendy has nine different doctors.
After a ton of tests and doctor’s visits, she learned that she was extremely deficient in vitamin D and that she suffers from vertigo. Wendy said that this was affecting her equilibrium.
Here’s Wendy’s last message before hitting the small screen for the highly anticipated return:
‘We, as women, particularly if — we have families, you know, we’re taking care of children, we’re taking care of, you know, home, our husbands, we take care of everybody but ourselves. I’m not doing that anymore…’
