The 2017 Emmys air on CBS Sunday, September 17, 2017, from 8 pm. ET-11 p.m. ET/5 p.m. CT-8 p.m. CT and you can watch backstage interviews before the show begins starting at 7:30 p.m. ET, live online.
The Television Academy will conduct interviews with the stars as they prepare for their big night as well as exclusive interviews with winners and will go live via Facebook. You can watch the backstage interviews in the video player below.
The backstage live video will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET so check back for the action and excitement.
The Thank You cam is one of the most interesting aspects of the night. This is in addition to the acceptance speech and is a time when the media can catch up with the stars after they have won their awards, and they can say from their heart what the win means to them.
Backstage, thank you interviews are often more personal, off the cuff, and may have an element of surprise to them. Often news-worthy statements are made but they aren’t often broadcast on media networks such as CBS.
If you want to catch the backstage interviews, it is best to watch it simultaneously with the live Emmy show, or after when the video is complete.
As for the actual Emmy Award show, host Stephen Colbert is keeping a tight lip on what he has planned for the evening.
This is Stephen Colbert’s first time hosting the Emmys so we aren’t sure what’s in store. Past Emmy hosts have conducted numerous costume changes, collaborated with actors, singers, and dancers for routines, and some have even ordered foods for the guests. As Stephen Colbert is primarily a comedian, we’re sure he’ll do something funny and extravagant, but whatever he has planned, he isn’t giving it away just yet.
Are you going to watch the 2027 Emmy Awards? There will be plenty of big-name stars there who made the transition from Hollywood to television.
Just a few Oscar winners who are nominated for Emmy awards this year include Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Robert DeNiro, Kevin Spacey, Geoffrey Rush, Jane Fonda, Jessica Lange, Susan Sarandon, Anthony Hopkins and Viola Davis.
The 2017 Emmy Awards promise to be an exciting night with lots of glamour, celebrities, fashion and political statements and more.
