Certain television shows didn’t make the 2017 Emmys window and will be nominated in 2018, such as Twin Peaks and Game of Thrones.
For the 2017 Emmy Awards, Saturday Night Live and freshman series Westworld tied with 22 nominations each. Two other newcomers follow the lead with 18 nominations each for Feud and Stranger Things.
Veep comes in next with 17 nominations followed by the limited television HBO series Big Little Lies and the FX series Fargo that have 16 nominations each.
The Crown, The Handmaid’s Tale and The Night Of each have 13 nominations.
Several interactive and digital networks have been nominated for Emmys showing that the way people watch and stream television programs has changed.
