Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have tied the knot in the most anticipated wedding of the year, and we have now learned what Victoria Beckham thinks of the new royal’s wedding gown! Here’s what the fashion designer had to say.
She told The Evening Standard that ‘I thought she looked absolutely beautiful,’ in her Givenchy gown and Queen Mary tiara.
‘It really suited her. I thought it was perfect for her. And Harry looked great.’
But that’s not all! Victoria also had only positive things to say about the wedding in general.
‘It was such a beautiful and incredible wedding. It was just the best day. They looked very happy, and everybody was just so happy for them. Meghan seems like a genuinely lovely woman who really loves him. It felt very real, very honest,’ she dished.
In addition, the 44-year-old went on to praise the sermon of The Most Reverend Michael Bruce Curry.
‘I thought that what he said was really strong and optimistic. Very powerful.’
Meanwhile, Curry also opened up to ET about what the whole thing meant to him.
‘Their love for each other brought us together even if it was just for a few moments. It brought us together across lines of nationality, across lines of race and ethnicity, across politics … I mean, you think about it. It never ends. Their love helped to reorient how we relate to each other, even if it was just for a moment.’
As you may already know, the star was at the ceremony alongside her hubby, David Beckham.
The former Spice Girls member rocked a navy dress, part of her yet to be released collection.
‘I was really honored to have been invited. I’d have been nervous if it had been my day. Quite honestly, it was a relief not to be hugely pregnant at this royal wedding, it was a joy to be able to choose anything that I wanted to wear,’ she stated, referring to the fact that back in 2011 when Prince William and Kate Middleton got married, she was seven months along.
