It looks like we won’t see Vanessa Hudgens in a wedding gown too soon. Following the engagement rumors that the actress sparked after sharing pics of her wearing a rock on her left ring finger, she took to social media once again to deny that she is getting married.
As fans undoubtedly are aware, Vanessa has been in a longterm relationship with Austin Butler, and everyone just assumed he must’ve popped the big question in secret on her birthday.
Her caption, ‘And then this happened,’ fueled, even more, the engagement speculations.
The star took to Twitter today, however, to explain that the ring’s positioning on THAT finger had no actual meaning.
Not to mention, the followers should have paid more attention to her hairstyle, not her jewelry, considering she even added some scissor emojis in the original post’s caption.
‘Guysss. I am not engaged! I posted a pic. Not to show off my ring that I happened to throw on that finger after a long day of filming, but to show off my haircut Lol,’ Vanessa clarified the misunderstanding, adding a facepalm emoji for good measure.

The adorable pair has been a thing since 2011, but sadly the two have also been spending a lot of time away from one another, due to their frequent filming schedules at different locations.
But that did not keep them from sometimes traveling across the globe to see one another – like when Vanessa went to New Zealand to visit her lover while he was shooting The Shannara Chronicles.
Aside from that, they spend a lot of time on video calls.
When asked how they made their long-distance relationship work, Vanessa explained: ‘FaceTime! FaceTime – I tell everyone, FaceTime!’
