The casting rumors surrounding the seventh season of Vanderpump Rules are heating up after a report this month claimed that producers would not be bringing back Kristen Doute. And now, it looks like they will be replacing her with Billie Lee.
Radar Online recently reported that Doute would not be coming back as a full-time cast member because of her lack of drama. A source said that Doute isn’t “crazy” anymore and has become too low-key. And, since VPR thrives on drama, producers felt they needed to make a change.
So now the tabloid is claiming that SUR hostess Billie Lee is coming back – and this time she will be an official cast member.

“She did extremely well,” revealed the insider. “All of the cast loves her — and so did ratings!”
Last season, Lee entertained fans when she dated Ariana Madix’s brother Jeremy and then clashed with Stassi Schroeder. But she really made waves by shocking Lisa Vanderpump when she bragged about her gender reassignment surgery and her new lady parts.
But even though Lee is uber-popular with fans, that still doesn’t mean they are thrilled with the possible departure of Doute. When Radar ran their original story claiming Doute wouldn’t be returning as a full-time cast member, the Twitterverse lit up. The story hit an emotional chord with VPR fans because Doute is an original cast member.
Doute has been through a lot of changes since season one aired back in 2013. She started off in a rocky relationship with Tom Sandoval and lied about cheating on him. Then, she tried to ruin his relationship with Ariana Madix.
The 35-year-old also had a tumultuous relationship with SUR busboy James Kennedy over the course of two seasons.
But now, Doute is with Brian Carter, and their relationship appears to be stable and happy. However, even if Bravo believes that makes her a boring cast member, fans strongly disagree. Many have expressed their fear about the possible casting change, and some have even tagged producer Andy Cohen to get some answers.
Bravo has not yet made an official cast announcement for Vanderpump Rules season seven, so fans have yet to accept the news that Doute will no longer be full-time. All we can do at this point is hope the reports are false.
Season 7 of Vanderpump Rules will premiere on Bravo later this year.
